The V, W, Y, and Z is part of the tyre specification; the carrying capacity is the part of your tyre specification that appears after the size. For example 265/40R17 96Y is a 265/40 tyre on a 17” rim, with a carrying capacity of 710Kg pr wheel and a maximum speed rating of 186.4mph.
